Lego League 2025
Wow, what a day we had ! After weeks of researching, planning, and building our models around the theme “Submerged”, we finally had the chance to showcase them today at ATU Galway.
We began our day with a leisurely walk on the beach, then headed into the college to set up our display and present our artwork. We proudly described our models to many visitors and had the chance to explore the incredible creations from other schools too.
One of the highlights was a guided tour of the Robotics and Automation Department — it was truly amazing! We wrapped up a fantastic day with a well-deserved ice-cream on the way home.
First Holy Communion 2025
Congratulations to Second Class who received their First Holy Communion on Saturday, the 10th of May. What a beautiful and memorable day we had! A heartfelt thank you to Fr. Kenny for his continued support and kindness.

Congratulations to our 20 students who made their Confirmation last Thursday. Thanks to Fr. Kenny & Fr. Burns for the fabulous ceremony.

Huge thanks to everyone who supported our fundraising efforts. Your support and generosity is greatly appreciated and we raised a massive €3747 which will go directly toward the playground development fund.

Bhí Seachtain na Gaeilge iontach againn. Tháinig ceoltóirí áitiúla isteach chun ceol traidisiúnta a sheinm agus a chanadh agus ghlac cuid dár scoláirí páirt ann freisin.
Bhí tráth na gceist againn i rang 3 go 6 agus bhaineamar an-taitneamh as. Ar deireadh, bhí ár Lá Glás an-mhaith le hamhráin, dánta agus damhsaí ónár scoláirí. Maith sibh go léir!

Hot Food Meals
Hot Food Meals
Our 5th & 6th class students got to sample some Hot Food Meals and we hope they’ll be introduced to our school soon!
The meals were both nutritious and delicious and they enjoyed tasting a variety of healthy options.
Grandparents' Day
We celebrated Grandparents' Day in our school on Wednesday the 22nd of January as part of Catholic Schools Week.
A fabulous prayer service, refreshments & games within the classrooms were just some of the highlights from our great day.

Well done to our 4 wonderful artists who won family tickets to the All-Ireland Camogie Final on Sunday last due to their amazing posters.
New Yard Equipment
Our school yard has become even brighter and more fun, thanks to local sponsorship.
Benches, mud kitchens, outdoor chess tables and boxing bags are just some of the fabulous additions to our school and the children are loving using them.
Combined with our fantastic new outdoor covered area, created by our caretaker Philip, our school yard has never been more exciting!

Well done to all of the children who took part in our shoebox appeal for Team Hope.
74 boxes were collected in total which will put smiles on many children's faces this Christmas.

Tag Rugby Blitz
On Tuesday, October 1st, Loughrea Rugby Club hosted a fantastic tag rugby blitz. The sunny weather set the perfect backdrop as students from the senior classes, both boys and girls, came together for a day of fun and camaraderie. The non-competitive spirit of the event encouraged everyone to get involved, making it a memorable experience for all participants. Thank you to Loughrea Rugby Club for organising such an inclusive and enjoyable event!

A Great Coffee Morning in Aid of the Irish Hospice Foundation
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our coffee morning on Friday, 27th September. We shared plenty of chats, laughs, and catch-ups while supporting a great cause. Your generosity and presence made the morning truly special, and we couldn't have done it without you.
Your support helps the Irish Hospice Foundation continue their invaluable work. Thank you once again for being part of such a meaningful event.

Over the past few weeks, our student council, led by Ms. Guthrie, has been buzzing with activity! We kicked off with Information Week, where students learned about the council's role, followed by Nominations Week, where enthusiastic candidates stepped forward. Campaign Week was full of creative posters and lively speeches, culminating in a spirited Election Week that engaged the whole school community!
