Gardening

Gardening is the perfect way to help your child explore the science behind plants and animals, and the processes of growth.  

Some questions to discuss with your child when growing some plants:

• How is the plant growing and changing?

• What things do the plants need to grow? What things to animals/people need to grow?

• How do plants/animals change in Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter?

• Name common trees, plants and animals.

• What environments do different plants and animals like to live in? Explore the Cactus.

• Draw a still image of a flower/ tree in your garden.

You can search for experiments in specific areas and for appropriate age groups.
